Policies for Art Instruction

Please encourage your children to attend lessons regularly. Each lesson will build on the previous, so it's important that they do not fall behind. Cancellations require a 24-hour notice, except in case of emergency illness. I appreciate advance notice of conflicts as soon as possible. If you must cancel a class, I allow for only two class periods to be rescheduled. I usually attempt to reschedule with your child 20 minutes before or after the next class time.
Many of the classes we offer, require work to be done at home for further study. Your child will need to practice as much as possible to receive the maximum benefit from the class. It is true that with art, the more one practices their skills, the better they become. Their success will depend on how much time they devote to practicing.
Class seats are limited and therefore, to reserve a seat, the non-refundable materials fee and registration form is due two weeks before the class begins. The first payment, which is half of the cost of the entire class is due on the first day of class. The remaining cost is due on week four.
We are located along I-35 between the Parkerville & Belt Line exits, Lancaster, Tx. 75146. More detailed directions to our home will be given at time that the registration form & fees are received.
I welcome parents to stay & listen during lessons as well, and many times the Mom's have a nice fellowship time while the children are in class. Any smaller children brought along must be quiet & be kept from distracting the class, or other arrangements must be made. Also, we do require if behavior issues arise, that the parent stay in the class to ensure the least amount of disruptions.
We require that modest attire be worn. This specifically means no tank tops or cut off jeans and do prefer loosely fitting
t-shirts and long shorts or knee length skirts on the young ladies.
All students will be required to sign a waver of liability form.
We are not responsible for artwork left in our studio after 30 days without prior arrangements.
