As a Christian Homeschool Mom, I enjoy sharing the gifts the Lord has given to me. I have over 20 years experience in teaching children and families the fine arts. I teach scripture along side art techniques so that the children understand that creativity is a gift from their Father in heaven and that exploring their creativity is not only wonderfully fulfilling, but most importantly, glorifies God.
I attended Millikin University, Decatur, Il. and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in painting and sculpture. (1989) I continued graduate studies in Milwaukee, Wi., where I pursued a Master’s of Science Degree in the area of Art Therapy at Mount Mary College. Later, I attended a post master’s instruction from the Center for Biblical Counseling, Dallas. (2000 & 2001) Recently, I've begun the Nouthetic Biblical Counseling training program through NANC. (2012)
In past years, God has blessed me with a wide variety of professional work experiences which have included facilitating groups for Dallas Buckner Children’s Home & Family Services, Hospice, A.R.T.S for People, children with special needs, and families of international adoption.
Within the last decade, God has turned my heart toward home, where He has given me a love for homeschooling, and serving Him out of my home. For the past 10 years, I have offered classes for children & Mom’s out of our garage pottery studio. This has been such a joy for me as our whole family takes part in learning how to run a home based business, and witnessing God connecting His people.
